At Contractors Team, we were awarded the job of refreshing the external appearance of the Vizion Central MK apartment complex in Milton Keynes.
Featuring 12 separate blocks, the task of enhancing the building’s numerous facades involved several logistical issues. To reach the property to begin with, access was limited, requiring our team to dismantle and reinstall timber fences and timber walls. This multi-faceted project also required pedestrian management and us to board out the pebbled garden to ensure no damage was caused.
The sheer height of the complex also called for specialist access, which we overcame with a series of techniques that included boom lifts, scissor lifts, tower scaffolding and harness and lanyards for safe navigation of employees over roof elevations.
Once in place, the work to restore the facade began in earnest, with all cracks repaired with silicone and epoxy filler and all flaked paint removed. All facades and balconies were also painted with all windows and substrate protected throughout, with applications of StormShield Smooth masonry paint and Anti Moss fungicidal solution.
This project presented all kinds of challenges to overcome, however, we achieved exceptional results, further enhancing our reputation as one of the most flexible and adaptive building and design teams in London.
